On his new EP Another Millet Dream, multi-instrumentalist and composer Alex Dobson weaves together the haunting cries of the steel guitar with vast reverbs and echoing acoustic space to bring the listener into a landscape of quiet reflection and bittersweet memory. Punctuated by the drums and FX of Daniel Gaucher, the music explores formlessness and improvisation over a bed of cinematic minimalism.

As a member of the Vancouver-founded Ethereal Noisepop duo Poshlost, Dobson’s minimalism and composition can also be heard on their sophomore album Spheres I, released February 2021.
